Yes this does have Internet drivers and functions like good old XP without the normal XP interface. I suggest using a virtual machine or have a CD drive readily available on the machine you're going to install this on. Can you publish, or point to, detailed guide on how to prepare USB stick, how to install Win XP Pro SP2 or Micro XP v0.82 on the formatted USB stick, and how to boot and run XP Pro or XP.
